A character with character, Adam Rossow has over a decade of experience in sports journalism. 


Adam was the Hawkeye Headquarters reporter from February 2017 to May 2020. He was based at WHBF-TV in Rock Island, Illinois, but his content was distributed to the Des Moines (WHO-TV) and Sioux City (KCAU-TV) markets. He specialized in storytelling that went beyond the box score, covering anything and everything with University of Iowa athletics as a multi-skilled journalist.


After completing his master's degree at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2016, Adam became the Golden Gophers Football Analyst for 1500ESPN.com in Minneapolis. While in Minnesota, he was additionally a freelance writer and reporter with the Associated Press. He was also the co-founder, editor and lead writer for Northstar Football News, a website dedicated to covering Minnesota high school football since 2013.  


Adam was a sports reporter with the Medill News Service while at Northwestern. He was also broadcaster for Big Ten Plus/Northwestern's Studio N during his time in Evanston.


A 2007 graduate of Carleton College, Adam first cut his teeth as an undergrad working in the school's sports information department. He was also the head play-by-play announcer for a host of sports while at Carleton, including men's basketball and volleyball. Adam was a four-year letter winner at linebacker on the Knights football team. 

Adam grew up in rural Minnesota and currently resides near Austin, Texas with his wife.
